Thick, Leak-Proof Breastmilk Storage Bags for Mothers in Singapore
Why Our Breastmilk Storage Bags Are the Best Choice for Singapore Mums
Many breastmilk bags on the market are thin, leak-prone, or hard to label. Ours are designed with the specific challenges Singaporean mothers face, such as:
Deep freezer or fridge storage: Thick, tear-resistant material (PET/PE) keeps milk safe even in small apartment fridges or freezer compartments. TLM bags use 11c thickness, which is thicker than most breastmilk storage bags sold.
Easy to pour & hygienic: Convenient spout for transferring milk to bottles without spills.
BPA-free & pre-sterilised with Electron Beam (E-beam): Safe for baby, compliant with international food safety standards.
High humidity protection: Double-layered zipper seals prevent accidental leakage or contamination.
Encouraging messages on each bag: A small but meaningful emotional boost that all mothers truly deserved.
Generous write-on label: The label area is larger than most other breastmilk storage bags, giving you plenty of space to write what you need!
See the Difference - Stress Test Video
Not all breastmilk storage bags are created equal. Many popular bags tear easily when frozen, stacked, or handled, leading to spills, wasted milk, and extra stress for mums.
We put our Tender Loving Milk Breastmilk Storage Bags to the test, alongside other leading brands.
🎥 Watch the video:
See other bags tear very easily.
See how our extra-thick, double-sealed bags stay strong, even when fully frozen or stacked.
This is real proof that our bags are designed for busy, pumping mums in Singapore who need reliable, leak-proof storage.
Quantity: 30 bags per box
Capacity: 150ml per bag
Shelf life: 3 years
Storage: Cool, dry place
Freezer-safe: Can be stored upright or flat
Thickness: 11C (most expressed breast milk storage bags are 9C or 10C). Freezer-safe materials are recommended to be at least 10C.
Two-Layers: Every one of our breastmilk bags is manufactured with two layers (so even if you use a marker to write on the bag, it does NOT seep into the milk)
Upper layer: The printed design layer
Inner layer: Food-grade quality layer
Pro tip for Singapore homes: Store bags flat for stacking in small freezer compartments, maximizing space for busy parents with limited fridge capacity.

How to Use Your Breastmilk Storage Bags (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Label the Bag First (Before Filling)
Before adding milk, write the date, time, and volume on the bag. Why this matters:
Writing on an empty bag is much easier and clearer than writing on a filled bag.
Our extra-large write-on label area provides ample space to write clearly, a feature not found in many other bags with limited label space.
Step 2: Measure Milk Using the Bottle, Not the Bag
Pour freshly expressed milk into the bag after measuring it in your bottle. Why we recommend this:
Breastmilk storage bags are made of flexible plastic, which can expand or change shape.
Because of this, volume markings on plastic bags are not always accurate.
Using the measurement on your pump bottle or feeding bottle gives a more reliable estimate of milk volume.
This applies to all plastic breastmilk storage bags, not just ours.
Step 3: Remove Excess Air (A Little Air Is Okay)
Gently press out excess air before sealing the bag. A small amount of air in the bag is completely okay and will not harm your milk. There’s no need to squeeze the bag aggressively; gentle pressure is enough.
Step 4: Seal Tightly with the Double Zippers
Carefully close both zipper seals, running your fingers across the top to ensure they are fully sealed. Why double zippers matter:
Two seals provide extra protection against leaks, especially when milk expands during freezing.
They reduce the risk of accidental opening during storage, stacking, or transport.
This design is especially helpful for mums who store milk in shared freezers or transport milk to childcare.
Place the bag flat in the freezer until fully frozen. Why freezing flat helps:
Saves space in small freezer compartments, common in many Singapore homes.
Allows for faster, more even freezing.
Makes stacking and organising your milk stash easier.
Once frozen, bags can be stored flat or upright in a container.
Step 5: Lay Flat to Freeze
-
Yes. These bags are:
BPA-free
Pre-sterilised using Electron Beam (E-beam)
Made from food-grade materials
They are designed to support pumping mums, exclusive pumpers, and breastfeeding mums who want safe, hygienic milk storage.
-
No. Breastmilk storage bags are single-use only. Reusing bags increases the risk of contamination, leaks, and breakdown of the plastic, especially after freezing.
-
These bags are designed by a mother of three and IBCLC, based on real postpartum and pumping experiences. Key differences include:
Extra-thick, tear-resistant material
Double zipper seals
Larger write-on label area compared to many other bags
Encouraging words on every bag
They’re designed to be supportive, practical, and stress-reducing.
-
Breastmilk storage bags should be made from thick, tear-resistant material to prevent leaks, especially when milk is frozen.
Thin bags are more likely to split at the seams or tear when handled.
Our bags are designed with extra-thick PET/PE material and double zipper seals to better protect stored breastmilk.
To be safe, ensure you leave about 2cm spacing of space instead of filling the bag to its maximum capacity.
-
Breastmilk expands as it freezes. When bags are made from thin plastic or have weak seals, this expansion can cause tearing or leakage, especially when bags are stacked or moved.
Using thick, freezer-safe breastmilk storage bags with double zippers helps reduce this risk.
-
Breastmilk storage bags are made from flexible plastic, which means the bag can expand or change shape. Because of this, volume markings on plastic breastmilk bags are not always precise.
For more accurate tracking, especially for daycare or medical reasons, it’s best to measure milk using your pump bottle or feeding bottle, then transfer the milk into the storage bag.
-
You should gently press out excess air, but it’s completely okay if some air remains in the bag.
A small amount of air will not damage breastmilk.
-
Double zipper seals provide extra protection against leaks, especially during freezing, stacking, or transport.
If one seal is compromised, the second zipper offers a backup layer of security, which is especially helpful for mums transporting milk to childcare or storing milk in shared freezers.
-
Lay breastmilk storage bags flat in the freezer until fully frozen. Freezing flat helps:
Save space in small freezer compartments
Allow even freezing
Make stacking and organising milk easier
This is particularly useful for Singapore homes with limited freezer space.
-
For best quality:
Store breastmilk in the freezer for up to 6 to 9 months
If using a deep freezer, milk can be stored longer from 9 to 12 months
Always label milk clearly and use the oldest milk first.
Sometimes you can alternate to use new and older expressed breast milk in a days’ milk intake.
-
Yes. These bags are compatible with milk expressed using popular pumps in Singapore, including Spectra, Medela, Philips Avent, and other standard breast pumps.
Milk can be expressed into a bottle and then transferred safely into the bag.
