How a lactation consultant can support you?
Many new mothers experience difficulties with breastfeeding, may not have a lot of experience or knowledge about breastfeeding. A lactation consultant can provide trained breastfeeding guidance and support and address any underlying issues that may be causing lactation problems.
There are tons of breastfeeding resources online that may not be evidence-based. This is where a lactation consultant can step in and provide new parents with the information and resources they need to feel confident and prepared for breastfeeding.
Mothers returning to work may need help balancing breastfeeding and working, as well as families caring for special needs infants. Most importantly, a lactation consultant can provide emotional support and encouragement to mothers who may be feeling overwhelmed or discouraged.
